A Caribbean Writer

We apologize for the delay. We are right now studying a novel written by Michael Anthony, a Trinidadian author. It is entitled The Year In San Fernando. It deals with childhood in Trinidad and it is a semi-autobiography.

Michael Anthony was born in Trinidad and Tobago on Feb.10th, 1930. So he is 87, he is married and has four children. He wrote his first novel in 1963 The Games were coming was his first novel. Two years later, he wrote the Year in San Fernando. He came to our high-School in 2009.

The narrator is a little boy called Francis aged 12 and he is sent to the city as a servant-companion to old Mrs Chandles.
