I'm enjoying my end of holidays, but I think they were too short :'( I can't wait for the next holidays ! They start on Saturday 21 December 2013 and end on Sunday 05 January 2014 !!! :-) I love Christmas and New Year's Eve celebrations !! :-D
Possums are called 'MANICOUS' in Martinique. An interesting example on http://www.fond-ecran-image.com/forum/sauvetage-de-cinq-bb-manicous-en-martinique-vt10330.html
There was no special reason for the October holiday, just halfway through a long term (August to December). The biggest festivals in Hong Kong are Chinese New Year (end of January or beginning of February), the Lantern Festival aka Mid-Autumn Festival aka Mooncake Festival in September and the Dragon Boat racing in June. We also get days off for the grave sweeping twice a year in the Spring and in the Autumn. In addition we get the holidays of Christmas and Easter, and we also celebrate the global New Year and have a holiday on 1st January. There's also Buddha's Birthday in April.
that is a cute possum

Possums are common here but they're endangered because of people who wants to eat them ! :'(
